Getting the pixel dimensions right is only half of it. This panel has its own characteristics, and they change what kind of source image holds up on screen.

• At 227 ppi this panel is sharp enough for most artwork but will soften very fine detail. Line weights below about a pixel and small type tend to break up, so scale detail slightly larger than you would for a 300 ppi screen.
• The 1:1.33 ratio is close to a standard portrait photograph, so most vertical photos crop to fit with little loss. Landscape source images will lose a lot of their width — crop deliberately rather than letting the frame decide.
• E-ink is greyscale, so colour contrast disappears on screen. Check that your image still separates into clear light and dark areas once colour is removed — two colours of similar brightness will merge into one flat tone.

How to Set a Custom Screensaver on the Boox Tab Ultra Series

Boox devices run Android, so the sleep screen is set from the system settings — point the screensaver option at an image you have copied onto the device. Boox also runs KOReader, which has its own wallpaper setting.

   Resize the image

   Size the image to your Boox device's exact screen resolution using the resizer above, then download it.
